Front Door Makeover and Giveaway!

We've had some GORGEOUS weather here for August!

So last weekend I decided to take advantage and work on a project that I've had all the supplies for, just waiting for the beautiful weather.

I treated myself to a curb appeal project by

painting my front door AND adding vinyl numbers!

I've been seeing this trend all over like Chris did here and Sarah did here and couldn't wait to do it to our house. As much as I would have liked to paint our front door black, it just wouldn't work with our colors - so I had to stick with white on the door and black for the numbers. But I'm just thrilled with how it turned out!

First I scrubbed down my nasty front door with Soilax (sorry you have to see this - it's the only door to our house that gets used)

I didn't get any pictures while I was painting, but I used a roller and a sponge brush to paint. This was actually really easy since my door was already white. I did two coats to cover up all the scuff marks.

Next came the FUN part! My vinyl numbers that I ordered from Kim at Uppercase Living. This was my first time ordering from UpperCase Living and Kim did a great job helping me design exactly what I needed!

It brings a smile to my face every time I see it.! (I just need to get a new door handle and wreath and I'll be set!)

YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE…

Uppercase Living offers vinyl embellishments to decorate everything under the sun!

Visit them and be inspired!

Check out Kim’s website to order your catalog and embellishments. On her site you will find lots of great ideas for using Uppercase Living items.

Oh, I would love to have the Chalk Wall for a menu in my kitchen! Okay, so maybe not for a menu all the time, but I could use it for a reminder list too! How neat!

I would love the Faith Hope Love one for above our bed in the master bedroom. It reminds me of a reading from Corinthians 13 we used in our wedding.

LOVE the door.

I went to her site and have to say that the dandelion on the first page is my favorite of course. I am not sure what I would do with it, but how fun is that!!!

I also like some of the sayings in the family room section. I would put one right above the entry way into our family room.

With a nice stone color. Very warm and welcoming. Your door is fantastic and has inspired me to do mine it is now time!

Oh this is so hard! I like the laundry room signs and the chalkboard for our kitchen. Maybe I'd use the $35 to justify getting both!

What a great giveaway - thank you! First of all, great makeover on your front door. I bookmarked this post for when I'm ready to do our own front door. I'd spend the $35 getting numbers for my own front door project + I love, love, love the laundry room signs, they are so cute!

I love uppercase! The pictures aren't showing up on her site. But I know there is one that goes in the kitchen that says "kitchen closed due to illness, I am sick of cooking" LoL I have been wanting it for a while!
OR the one for the bedroom that says "I have found the one whom my soul loves" I just love it.

This was a hard choice to pick out just one but I went to the Dreams section and I was like this is the place to find something for over our bed instead of just a picture. I love I have found the one whom my soul loves. Thank You So Much.

Love your front door! I saw those posts you mentioned too, and it makes me want to do this. I can't do any of this great stuff until we move though, because the house is on the market. I do like the numbers but also like the "Breathe your home" and "Family is everything". I hope to do a wall with family pictures and some type of family/home themed words in our new house. I think if I do that as a first project, it will make a new house feel like our home.

I love the door. It's precious.

If I had to pick ONE thing from Uppercase Living it would be the one that says "Begin each day with a smile." I'd stick in our teensy master bath.

Love the idea that you made us look at the product not just leave comment. I really love the inspritional and faith stuff; however if I won I would use it to make a cutomized sign for our family business. We run skateboard and paintball store and the sign on our door needs redone.
